Vision statement
Because we truly believe in a waste less world, our vision is to reduce the quantity of food wasted by helping people in need.
Mission statement
To strongly convince supermarkets to give the “wasted food” instead of throwing it away How are we going to do it?
→ By demonstrating to them that our project can give them a good image. A good image attracts more clients, therefore, they will earn more money.→ Our project helps the community, which represents a big part of the CSR. A supermarket with a good CSR policy can obtain some financial bonuses from the state, which could be interesting for supermarkets.
To permanently encourage people to avoid waste in their life How are we going to do it? → By creating an awareness campaign on the social media, with posters and flyers. → By giving them discounts on their groceries after a certain amount of food brought back
To constantly fight against over-consumption How are we going to do it? → With the agreement of the supermarkets, we will put posters inside the stores advising clients to bring back the products they have home that passed the limit date, this way, nor the supermarket nor the clients waste any food.
To continuously provide help to people in need How are we going to do it? → Our project is made to provide food 24h per day. This means homeless/very poor people can come at any time of the day or night to take what they need in the fridges.
To improve people's quality of life How are we going to do it? → With our fridges system, homeless people will have unopened food, proper to consume, which is much better than what they can randomly find on the streets.
To insure basic human dignity How are we going to do it? → Homeless people often have to beg for food or to search in the garbage. It is very sad and they may feel ashamed to do it. The fridges system allow them not to beg nor to look in the garbage. They just have to enter their Wasteless card in the fridge to obtain what they want. This system provides them with the human dignity everyone deserves.
Baseline/slogan
Our slogan is “Wastless, taste of happiness”. “Wastless” is a clear message and the core of our organization. “Taste of happiness” refers to the joy and comfort we want to bring to homeless people.
